Vacation Time! Precious, limited and elusive. It passes in a blink of an eye but with experiences and memories to last a lifetime. And you must make the most of it. In today’s world of information overloaded and itineraries making space for clicking and posting those pictures on Instagram, do not forget to make the most of your vacation.Few Must do tips when you travel!

Here’s a list of simple but ‘Must do’ things to make most of your vacation to Singapore, Malaysia, England, Brazil or even Antarctica or whatever calls to you.

  • The Intimate Travel

Of course, you want to check in everywhere when you travel. But, the most epic way of wrecking an itinerary is to fit in too much to handle or to not make an itinerary at all. Enjoy the slow travel, the intimate experiences. Do make room for frenzy if it excites you but do not forget to chill and relax. Spend some time with just yourself and your loved ones. Turn the phone and the email off. Shut everything but the place you have spent so much of time and energy to come to. Enjoy the slow motion of the Singapore Flyer in Singapore, the parks of London, the cobbled streets of Italy, and the windmills of Netherlands.Travel Tips, Travel Blogger, Family travel, Things to do, Indian Blogger, Female traveller, Dubai Travel blogger, LifestyleBlogger

  • Explore

Explore the most famous places that you have seen on the postcards which make the place what it is. After all, how can you come to Paris and not see the Eiffel tower? Or not include the thrill of Universal Studios and the colors of Jurong bird park in your Singapore holiday packages? But, make way for stumbling onto a discovery. Lose the maps and city guides. Just explore. Maybe, you would discover the city’s best-kept secret as I found some at Clark Quay in Singapore!

  • Live the Nightlife

Your destination will come alive in the night. Enjoy what it has to offer. The clubs, the restaurants, the pubs, local markets or whatever takes your fancy. A romantic cruise dinner with my partner was the highlight of my best vacation in Singapore. Gazing at the spectacular skyline as we dined and wined on board with world-class live entertainment was definitely a ‘wow’ moment.Travel Tips, Travel Blogger, Family travel, Things to do, Indian Blogger, Female traveller, Dubai Travel blogger, LifestyleBlogger

  • Cuisine

The cuisine is what defines a place. What differentiates it from other regions and I think something that you miss the most. I can still taste the soft and succulent seafood I had in Singapore markets or the best fish and fries in England or the best poha in Gujarat, India. Thank god, some of the best restaurants featured in my Singapore holiday package.

  • Pop into any shop that calls to you

You have the designer labels or pedestrian streets or the malls or the Saturday’s markets. Take your pick. You can shop for books or souvenirs or clothes or jewelry! And when someone compliments on that necklace, you will remember the sunny afternoon you bought it and the cheerful shop owner who regaled with you the town’s tales.

  • Keep a travel journal

Photos are one thing. But, this will have your travel tales and thoughts. Write words or sentences or a story or doodle or sketch. Notebooks have no rules. I picked mine today to revisit what it felt to experience the spellbinding light and sound show at Sentosa Island in Singapore.Travel Tips, Travel Blogger, Family travel, Things to do, Indian Blogger, Female traveller, Dubai Travel blogger, LifestyleBlogger

  • Do one activity you have never indulged in before

I want to add something to myself after every vacation. Be it a cooking class or indulging in pottery or learning yoga or an adventure sport. Do something that you have never done before. This is a souvenir for your own self.

  • Meet the locals

And do not forget meeting and interacting with the locals. Don’t confine your vacation to an itinerary. Make the most of it. Talk, laugh, cry with the locals for they are the vibe of the place you have traveled to. Get out of your comfort zone, and I think you may just start to feel at home abroad.Travel Tips, Travel Blogger, Family travel, Things to do, Indian Blogger, Female traveller, Dubai Travel blogger, LifestyleBlogger
