Sure, there were quite a few For example, when we traveled in Trans-siberian train last year from Russia to Beijing, we stopped in the city of Irkutsk for couple of days. In the morning we departed on time, being German by nature to the train station to catch our train to Mongolia. Suddenly we realized that we were too late and the train was already gone. It can be really confusing when you travel thousands of kilometers through Russia by train. There are so many different time zones, which makes you to count and think all the time.
