This week we are sharing “Ingrid Stainier ” “Photographer of the week“.
Born on April 1974, the Belgian artist Ingrid Stainier discovered her interest for photography at the age of four years old. As a teenager, she discovered Morocco during a family trip and fell literally under the charm of this country. In 2010, she flew to India where thanks to the practice of photography, Yoga and writing, she found a new energy. In 2011, she came back to her first loves by undertaking her 5th trip to Morocco after 13 years of absence and meets this country with endless happiness.
It’s in this period that she discovered Chaouen and let her wonder by this city of mysterious breath where she immediately feels at home.Usually more interested by travel portraits, it’s on the Chaouni daily life that she set her sights. Her camera in hand, she meanders around the narrow streets researching scenes of life evoking intimate moments, full of spontaneity, softness and freshness she captures with the biggest respect.
She says “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away”
