Festival of Kerala- Attukal Pongala

Travel

The world’s only largest annual congregation festival of women  is called “Attukal Pongala”. During my visit to Kerala’s capital , I was keen on experiencing this festival, as I had learnt about it from the Guinness Book of Records back in 2009 . More than 3.9 million women come together every year for this religious act where  they  offer their devotion , dedication &  obeisance to the deity of Attukal Bhagavathy temple. The  festival is about offering a sweet dish called “ Pongala”, which literally means “to boil over”, porridge made of rice , sweet brown molasses, coconut , jagerry, nuts , raisins. etc….

Elephants  have always been my weaker side in wildlife. When I was young , I first time saw an elephant walking on road I hugged my mom and started crying saying ‘look at the beast’. Lifestyle

After the era of smart phones , I believe most of us don’t event look at our mac or laptop. Since I’m making my travel plans to Thailand, I happened to use the updated ClearTrip app for all my on the go bookings. I would like to share the key notes of this app and how simple it gets even on 3g connection of the phone. The idea of any app is to work flawlessly in 3G connection and not only on wifi. Cleartrip app works with no room of thought for lag. It is quick, smart and apt for…
