National Parks in India are known for variety of flora and fauna. There are more than 200 national parks & wildlife sanctuaries in the country, some of which are big, dense and unexplored. Visitors can opt from various available means to travel inside the park such as a jeep safari, elephant safari or can even travel on foot. 5 Awesome Pools In Dubai On My Bucket List

Travel

After spending almost a year in Qatar,I was always keen on seeing a different face of majestic Dubai. Massive & beautiful architecture of the buildings, Ubiquitous Malls , Luxurious Hotels , Extravagant shopping, etc . As Seth Sherwood writes about the entrepreneurial spirit of HH Sheikh Mohammed in the New York Times, about how Dubai’s ruler says “Money is like water. If you lock it up ,it becomes stagnant and foul-smelling, but if you let if flow, it stays fresh”. This clearly states the magnitude of the level of Dubai’s economy. I have been wanting to visit Dubai since a long…

Mocktail Trail in Resort Rio, Goa

Travel

Goa has always been my second home, where I feel lucky to be staying around, at about only 500 kms from it. Sometimes, I regret not belonging to North India, where there is mountainous landscape engulfing you all around. But then, Goa is a place which is close to my heart. I think in 2014, I must have done more than 15 trips to Goa for various occasions, such as reviewing a new car, going for a monsoon wedding, a trip to unwind from my mundane life from Mumbai, and trip with friends even. However, this trip to Goa was…

When I was teaching in Ladakh in 2014 to underprivileged mountain kids , I remember the joy and innocence on their face when they hear words like “Sweet”, “Crackers”, “Diwali”,etc. I used to spend my one month till 2014 out of the whole year in Ladakh mountains to teach the kids to recite and remember poetry, make puppets, create libraries for their learning. Unfortunately this year, due to accident during Rickshaw Run, I couldn’t manage to plan a mountain trip this year. For travelers, traveling is liberation. It is a passion to discover new culture, new experience and give back…

Have you spent a day cashless when you travel? Pockets by ICICI

Lifestyle

During the long weekend of October 2nd, I caught up with my old friends in Pune and also spent the weekend organizing my travel event with Buffy fish. Saturday is the day of my “Adventure Travel Meetup“, First-of-its-kind in Pune, I had no time even to run around to remove cash from ATM for breakfast or lunch. Since not much aware of Pune except the city area, I decided to go cashless that day while I met my friends for movie, breakfast & lunch. Whole day cashless, feels so different. I didn’t run to ATM various times for cash during…

Why I bought Travel Insurance for my Thailand Trip?

Travel

I’m sure you all remember, my accident during my “Rickshaw Run” trip which got me 5 stitches and bruises. Since this was India, the medical expense to stay in hospital for some nights, ambulance expense, flight changes were something I could afford without a travel insurance. Imagine if you were travelling abroad, and you lost your luggage or there was medical emergency in the country. How much money would you be able to spend in such situation? I’m heading to Thailand in October for TBEX, I decided to take travel insurance this time without any second thought. Irrespective I have…

Festival of Kerala- Attukal Pongala

Travel

The world’s only largest annual congregation festival of women  is called “Attukal Pongala”. During my visit to Kerala’s capital , I was keen on experiencing this festival, as I had learnt about it from the Guinness Book of Records back in 2009 . More than 3.9 million women come together every year for this religious act where  they  offer their devotion , dedication &  obeisance to the deity of Attukal Bhagavathy temple. The  festival is about offering a sweet dish called “ Pongala”, which literally means “to boil over”, porridge made of rice , sweet brown molasses, coconut , jagerry, nuts , raisins. etc….

Paris The fashion capital, the most romantic city in the world, synonymous with Eiffel Tower. The list is never ending. I of course fell in love with the city and its architectures. I’m going to cover some of the places in Paris that you just cannot miss. Gare du Nord This is a railway station in Paris and one of the most important ones at that. I was so impressed with the Tourist Information desk here. The lady at the counter was just so damn sweet to us and she made sure we got to know everything that was necessary. Helped us…
