An exciting grape stomping activity was hosted on 15 February, 2015 – Sunday at Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel.
This was the concluding activity of a week-long Grape Fiesta in association with Grover Zampa Vineyards that was hosted at Mumbai Express from 8th February, 2015.
Add fruit to the fiesta! Grapes make traditional dishes not-so-traditional!
There were grape tarts, grape mouse, grape pastries, grappa tiramisu and even grape wine pannacotta.
These recipes of casual nature, delighted the palate with a small blend of grape fruit.
On the last day of Grape Fiesta, which is 15 February, a Grape stomping activity was arranged at Mumbai Express patio, which was organized by Grover Zampa Vineyards. They host an annual stomping activity at their Nashik vineyard every January. And this time they were excited to bring that experience to Renaissance as well. The stomping activity commenced at 1:oopm and went on till 2:00pm.
For wine tasting, there were ready with white wine and red wine sangria’s made for us. Sangria is a typical beverage from Spain and Portugal. It normally consists of wine, chopped fruit, a sweetener, and a small amount of added brandy. The chopped fruits in this were finely chopped green apple and grapes.
The beauty of basic wine is that, the moment you add some tasty additions to it, it turns into some really fine Sangria!
Vegetarian and non – vegetarian starters with a dash of grapes were also on the move, along with the sangria’s. What else are these lazy sundays for! 😛
This was one lovely event by Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel & Grover Zampa Vineyards.
Thank you for this amazing Grape Fiesta experience!
